Oxygen archive custody is the playable pressure system that binds breath, fan survival, memorial rights, voice ownership, continuity law, and broadcast reality.
Design intent
Storyteller should behave as a management + RPG narrative engine, not a linear chapter. Oxygen custody must create choices that can be staffed, delayed, suppressed, recruited around, converted into route assets, or missed.
Core pressures
- Oxygen is a scarce public resource that can be granted, rationed, locked out, sponsored, or converted into leverage.
- A voice archive is both evidence and personhood-adjacent property.
- A memorial broadcast can preserve a dead or dying artist, but it can also sell, distort, or legally freeze them.
- Fans are not only audience flavor. They can become witnesses, riot pressure, a vigil choir, bootleggers, or a route asset.
- Inspectors are not only blockers. They can become public witnesses, certification pressure, suppression pressure, or continuity debt.
- Editors can preserve truth, launder sponsor language, split a route, or burn out.
